Origin/Habitat: Open forests and cleared areas. Foliage: Dark green, with soft yellowish young shoots. 9-20 pairs of pinnae. Glands are numerous and irregularly spaced between pairs of pinnae. Flowers: Oct-Dec. Pale yellow. Other features for identification: Pods, 6-15cm in length. Soil preferences: Fertilise at plant out with 15gm of 18:2.6:10 N.P.K. Cultural tolerances: Will grow from subtropic to highlands zone in most soils. Requires full sun. Is resistant to frost and drought. Wind tolerance - can be placed in the front line of a windbreak. Maintenance requirements: Low maintenance. Add a 9 month fertiliser in spring. Uses: Other: Medium fire risk. Propagation: Treat seeds with heat
