Origin/Habitat: Introduced from WA. Well established in parts pf the eastern states. Foliage: Dark green. Strong central vein, with a gland very close to the base. Branchlets smooth. Flowers: Sept-Nov. Deep gold in colour. Other features for identification: Pods thin walled, pale brown, 5-12cm in length. Soil preferences: Fertilise at plant out with 10gm of 18:2.6:10 N.P.K slow release. Cultural tolerances: Requires full sun, is resistant to salt winds, frost, pollution and saline soils. Is moderately resistant to drought. Wind tolerance- can be placed in the front line of a windbreak. Maintenance requirements: Low. Add blood and bone yearly as a supplementary fertiliser. Other: Medium fire risk. Propagation: Treat seeds with heat.
