Melaleuca ericifolia

Height: 2-9 metres.

Spread: 3 metres.

Shrub to small tree with dark green leaves. Flowers from Oct-Nov in short creamy spikes. Bark is pale in colour, with a papery appearance.

Will grow from subtropic to cool temperature zones in most soils. Prefers a moist, well drained or wet soil. Adaptable to most drainage conditions. Adaptable to sun or shade. Resistant to salt winds, saline soils, frost and pollution; moderately resistant to drought. Wind tolerance – can be placed in the1st line of a windbreak.
