Common Name: Hop Wattle

Height: 1-4 metres

Habit: Erect shrub.

 

 

Family: Mimosaceae

Origin/Habitat: Widespread in open-forest under-scrub. Coast to Divide.

Foliage: Often pale green, not shiny. Central vein, with many fine veins diverging from it.

Flowers: Mainly in Spring. Pale yellow.

Other features for identification: Pods, straight, thin, narrow, pale brown in colour.

Cultural tolerances: Mainly found on moister sites.

Uses:     Ornamental ,  Bird Attracting   & Coastal

Propagation:  Treat seeds with heat.
