Origin/Habitat: Commonly found inland forming woodlands from central NSW to QLD.

Habit: Small and bushy or taller with a dense or open crown.

Foliage: Branchlets grey green in colour, to 0.8mm thick. Leaf-teeth short, 8-14 in whorls 8-20mm apart.

Flowers: Male flower spikes yellowish, to 3cm.

Other features for identification: Hard, rough bark. Cones 1.5-3cm in length, valves long and thin.
