Small tree. Leaves are dark green in colour. Yellow flowers in winter. Bark has a smooth appearance.

Prefers moist, well drained or dry soils. Requires full sun. Very resistant to salt winds, saline soils, drought and pollution; moderately resistant to frost. Wind tolerance – can be placed in the front line of a wind break.
