Small to medium tree. Leaves are deep olive or grey green in colour. Pink-red flowers from May-Dec. Bark is dark, rough, scaly at base, the rest smooth and pale with shades of yellow, white and blue grey. Prefers a rich, moist, well-drained; dry or dry limy soil. Requires full sun. Resistant to salt winds, saline soils, and drought; moderately resistant to frost. Wind tolerance – can be placed in the front line of a windbreak. |
