Foliage:  Leaves are blue-grey in colour, oblong and sessile.

Flowers: Rose red to crimson in colour, 80mm in diameter.

Other features for identification: large capsules.

Soil preferences: Needs good drainage.

Cultural tolerances: Grow in full sun.

Common Pest or Disease problems: usual Eucalypt leaf sucking and chewing insects.

Maintenance requirements: Pruning to increase density is essential

Propagation: Seed.
