Foliage: Adult leaves 9-16cm in length, oblique at base, thick, semi-glossy, dark green in colour on both sides. Juvenile leaves are small and opposite, soon becoming alternate and oblique. Bark is pale brown in colour, fibrous and stringy to small branches. Buds
are found in clusters of 7-15. Fruit is 6-9mm in diameter, with enclosed valves. Soil preferences: Prefers moist, well drained or dry soils. Cultural

Place in a full or filtered sun position. Tolerant to heavy frosts. Uses: Other: Wood is fairly light, strong and durable. Used in general construction, is fair fuel. Propagation: By seed. |
