Medium tree. Leaves are thick, pale green underneath, dark green and glossy above. White flowers in spring. Bark is sub-fibrous to smaller branches, thick, and red-brown in colour. Prefers moist, well drained or wet soils. Adaptable to most drainage conditions. Adaptable to sun or shade. Resistant to salt winds, saline soils and pollution;moderately resistant to drought and frost. Wind tolerance – can be placed in the front line of a windbreak. |
