Tall, straight tree. Leaves are pale green beneath, shiny dark green above. White flowers from Jan- March. Bark is smooth and grey in colour, with rough, flaky, darker coloured bark at the base. Prefers moist, well drained soils. Will grow from subtropic to cool temperature zones in most rich soils. Adaptable to most drainage conditions. Requires full sun. Moderately resistant to salt winds, drought and frost. Wind tolerance – can be placed in the front line of a wind break. |
